Documents
Documents are what your AI agents read to understand your business. Instead of explaining everything from scratch every time, you give your agents the context they need and they just get it.
Two Types of Documents
My Documents
Your agent workspace. This is where you put files that your agents should know about: company policies, product specs, process guides, pricing sheets, or anything else.
The portal shows a file explorer where you can browse folders, see file sizes and when they were last modified, and preview the contents. Markdown files get a nice outline view so you can see the structure at a glance.
Team Documents
Connected external sources. Instead of manually uploading files, you can connect services like GitHub or Google Drive so your agents can pull context directly.
Available connections:
- GitHub: Your repositories. Agents can read code, issues, and documentation.
- Google Drive: Your files and folders. Agents can search and reference shared documents.
- Notion, Slack, HubSpot, Salesforce, Linear, Asana: Coming soon.
Why Documents Matter
Without documents, your agents start every interaction with zero context about your business. With documents, they know:
- What your company does and how it operates
- Your internal processes and policies
- Your product details, pricing, and positioning
- Your style guidelines and communication preferences
- Historical context about past decisions
The more relevant context your agents have, the better their work becomes.
Adding Documents
From the Documents page in the portal, you can:
- Upload files directly to your agent workspace
- Create new documents in the browser
- Connect external sources under the "Team Documents" tab
Supported file types include plain text, markdown, JSON, and more. Your agents can read and reference any document in their workspace when working on tasks.
